2011-12 Sumner High School Symphonic Bands and Jazz Ensembles
January 31st Winter Concert and Uniform Information
We will be presenting our first concert of the school year on Tuesday January 31st
at 7:00PM in the Sumner PAC. We are looking forward to showing you our changed look and sound as we transition over from the fall Marching & Parade Band to the 2 Symphonic Bands.
In addition, both of our Sumner High School Jazz Ensembles will be performing some the music they will be performing at the Clackamas College Festival and Competition in March. As is noted in our Sumner High School Band Handbook, we will be wearing our Symphonic Band uniforms for this performance, which includes the following items:
2011-12 Sumner High School Symphonic Band Uniforms (same for both groups)
- Black Dress Shoes and Solid Black Socks
- Black Dress Pants (no jeans, corduroy, or chino-type pants)
and black belt (if the pants have belt loops on them)
- White Wing-Collar Pleated Tux Shirt
- Black Studs and Cufflinks
The Jazz Ensemble students will wear their regular Jazz Ensemble uniforms (including vests). The tux shirts, studs, and cufflinks can be purchased at tuxedo supply shops (such as the Tux Shop at South Hill, Men’s Wearhouse at the SuperMall, or other places). We do the best we can to have our students look sharp and professional within a moderate budget. If there are any questions or concerns in getting the uniform parts, please contact me as soon as possible.
We look forward to performing for you this coming Tuesday January 31st at 7:00PM in
the Sumner PAC. Thanks in advance for attending and supporting our program and your sons & daughters.
