Current Schedule

Hopefully everyone is still feeling great about our Championship at Auburn last week - I’m still very proud of how we pulled things together and gave a peak-performance at the right time when it counted - again Congratulations! Thanks for a really great but short week (with Monday off with the Veterans Day holiday and a half-day with conferences on Thursday - it was great to talk to the parents and families who stopped by). Thanks to the many students who participated in a very busy 2-performance Saturday - we got a lot done and represented ourselves very well. Last week we also started work on our Holiday Parade piece (Christmas Promenade, of course) and distributed our 2024-25 Basketball Pep Band schedule (it is attached in the BLAST). On a good note we won our Sweet 16 State Football Playoff Game Saturday afternoon but unfortunately our great Girls Soccer Team lost in overtime to Curtis so their season is over after making it to the Elite 8 - it was a great game. We will play the Elite 8 Football Playoff Game next Saturday at 7:00PM against Skyview HS (Vancouver, WA) at home with only 2 more games until the State Championship Game on December 7th at UW’s Husky Stadium. Will we win 2 more games and make it for the first time since 1977? - we’ll be there to see and hopefully celebrate. So this week we’ve got a full week of classes before we take most of the next week off for the Thanksgiving Holiday, so let’s get a lot done and work hard in a number of areas:

• MB & CG will continue to stay sharp (though NO evening rehearsals)
• Jazz Ensembles will NOT have their November 26th District Jazz Night (it’ll be rescheduled to sometime likely in January)
• Color Guard Camp will have rehearsals Monday-Thursday afternoons
• We’ll start to take a look at our Holiday Bowl music parts for the first time
• We’ll also start to organize for the Valley Region Solo-Ensemble Contest
